Is rehabilitation a right? Stateville Calling is an Emmy-nominated documentary exploring parole reform and the struggle of aging inmates in Illinois. Renaldo Hudson, one of the individuals featured in the documentary, became the Director of Education at the Illinois Prison Project (IPP) following his release in 2020. In a panel discussion following the screening, Renaldo and a team of formerly incarcerated people engage in transforming the criminal legal system in Illinois share their experiences with incarceration and the modern realities and challenges of criminal legal reform in Illinois. Presented with Elmhurst University and the Illinois Prison Project. This is a hybrid program with a virtual presenter.
