Event Details

In 1603, a plague caused the theatres to close and dramatists Thomas Dekker and Thomas Middleton focused their artistic efforts on writing pamphlets chronicling world events they witnessed. Regina Buccola—professor, author, and scholar in residence at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre—walks us through the pamphlets and their lasting significance.
